Staying At The Luxor Hotel

On the Strip in Las Vegas you'll find the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Although the Luxor isn't one of the newer Las Vagas hotels, it has its own very unique features based on an Egyptian theme. What makes it so distinctive is the fact that it is a pyramid. At night, a light beam shines vertically from the very peak of the pyramid. You can't miss it.

Among other things setting this hotel apart, is a replica of King Tut's tomb containing authentic reproductions. The Luxor Las Vegas atrium is located one level above the casino. As you gaze upon its grandeur, you'll see the inclinators traveling sideways on a 39 degree angle conveying guests to lavish suites.

Rooms at the Luxor Hotel aren’t cheap but there are sometimes deals that can be garnered during midweek. The hotel also has marvelous restaurants and night clubs for those taking a break from the slots or gaming tables. Of course, there is the casino which goes without saying in Las Vegas. You will also wish to discover adventure and drama at the Luxor Hotel and Casino IMAX Theatre.

Staying at the Luxor Hotel is always relaxed and comfortable. In the summer it can be over one hundred degrees outside and in the winter it can occasionally snow. If people want to leave the hotel and walk around, it is the most comfortable in the spring and the fall months.

The Luxor Hotel And Other Hot Spots

If people are staying at the Luxor Hotel but want to visit other casinos or see a show somewhere, there are two ways to accomplish this. Walking is pretty easy if you are going over to the MGM Grand. Other hotels may be a little farther and if walking is too much, taxis or the monorail can get you where you need to go to.

The Luxor Hotel, like many others, also has a very reasonable buffet for meal time.

Of course, one shouldn’t think that the food will be comparable to the upscale restaurants, but the food is pretty good nevertheless. The Luxor Hotel is popular, so if you decide to stay there, make reservations before hand. Many large conventions are held in Las Vegas, and sometimes the hotels are booked up.
